hCG Menus and Recipes

These are some meals that way wife as come up with, that we like use on the hCG protocol. 


Here are some ideas for your hcg diet menu. Its simple food and simple to make. I usually eat 4 meals Fruit, veggi and meat, fruit, veggi and meat and 1 slice of ezekiel bread in any order. We also added raw and cooked onions to many dishes and did not count it as a veggie. I also add tomato sauce for simmering with the onions and choice of veggie with out counting. Just look for the brand that is lowest in sugar. You can also add garlic and up to 1 tbsp of olive oil per day for cooking or on salad.

2 lean meats 3.5-4 oz (any white fish, only albacore tuna, imitation crab, chicken, turkey, very lean beef, pork loin, once or twice a week 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg) 
2 fruits (1 med apple, 1 med orange, 6-9 strawberries or 1/2 grapefruit) You can try other fruit like blueberries or cantaloupe but do not deviate from the rest of the diet and see how your body handles it. If you have weight loss the next day then it is probably fine to add it. 
2 veggies 3.5-4 oz (leafy green lettuce, tomato, broccoli, cabbage, peppers) 
*remember no sugars or starch: carrots, corn, peas, green beans, potato, beans rice, pasta, bread,
10 CUPS OF WATER
Multi Vitamin and sublingual B-12
I also take 2-4 beef aminos in the morning (protein in a pill) and I also take an additional vitamin of calcium with vit D and a Vitamin C and a potassium.

Cabbage soup
small head of cabbage sliced
1 pack of chicken boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
1 onion
slice all and layer in crock-pot add a box of chicken broth. sprinkle with chicken bouillon, salt & pepper. I spoon out chicken and cabbage separate to weigh it then ad some broth. great for a few days and freezes well for the next week.

Turkey Burger
Onion few slices grilled
pickles
pre-made burgers is ok but you can add a little soy sauce, garlic salt & pepper and if you make a few patties you can freeze them and then they are ready.

Fajitas
chicken strips
Red & green peppers sliced
onion sliced
packet of fajita seasoning

Stir fry with 1-2 tsp olive oil then add seasoning. Eat with or with out bread. 

You could also replace the fajita seasoning with Low sugar spaghetti sauce and simmer for a while (costco has a good one cant remember the name I think its organic with a white label.)

Seafood Salad
imitation or real crab
romain lettuce
Walden Farms thousand island dressing (dont use this too often processed food)
1 tsp horseradish (non mayo based)

Tuna Salad
Albacore Tuna reserve some of the liquid
Celery
onion
1 tsp olive oil
apple cider vinegar to taste about a tbsp
red grapes cut in half (optional if that is your fruit for the day)
salt & pepper

Open tuna reserve some of the liquid to add back in. Chop veggies and stir all together. Add liquid back to make as moist as you need. Also great to toast a slice of ezekiel bread and put any mustard on the bread then pile up the tuna salad and put under a broiler till warmed through  

When on maintenance you can add chopped walnuts to the salad or top the open face sandwich with shredded parmesan or mozzarella to make a melt.

Chicken Wraps
1 tsp olive oil
chicken breast chopped into small pieces
onion chopped
soy sauce
butter lettuce

add first 3 ingredients to pan and cook. sprinkle soysauce over and stir then wrap up with the lettuce. you will need to eat more lettuce than you use for the wraps. 

Goulash type
lean ground beef, ground turkey or turkey sausage sliced
Onion chopped
Red/yellow/green peppers chopped
Low sugar spaghetti sauce (costco has one) or just a small can of tomato sauce
season to taste

cook in a pan add tomato sauce and simmer. Eat over ezekiel bread. You could also substitute and use chicken breast cut in chunks and brocolli add sauce and simmer.

Simple meat
Brush fish or chicken with olive oil and sprinkle with choice of dry seasoning, garlic or onion
Pork loin is also very lean and give you a some variety. I have taken the left overs and added it to a red, yellow & green peppers and onion with a little olive oil 1-2 tsp and make a stir fry. Or you could do any of the meats with any of the ok veggis to make stir fry use any broth to give flavor. I have used a little corn starch (do sparingly or eliminate if no loss the next day) and soy sauce to make it more authentic.

Basic salad as a side to any meat
Chop it up and add some onion a little vinegar any kind (seasoned rice vinegar check for sugars) and tapitio (hot sauce), Steamed broccoli or cauliflower,

Strawberry Shortcake Dessert
5-6 lg frozen strawberries thawed and cut up
sprinkle of stevia
slice of ezekiel bread

Strawberries thawed and cut up sprinkle with the stevia and stir in let sit for a little bit. I like to toast the bread and break it up in a bowl then pour the strawberries and any juice over the top. (not quite strawberry shortcake but tastes really good when you are eating VLCD

Baked Apple
Granny Smith, Rome Beauty, Golden Delicious, or Jonagold Apple
Cinamon
Stevia
Crasins
Preheat oven to 375°F. Wash apples. Remove cores to 1/2 inch of the bottom of the apples. It helps if you have an apple corer but if not, you can use a paring knife to cut out first the stem area, and then the core. Use a spoon to dig out the seeds. Make the holes about 3/4-inch to an inch wide. In a small bowl, combine the stevia, cinnamon and crasins. Place apples in a 8-inch-by-8-inch square baking pan. Stuff each apple with this mixture. Add boiling water to the baking pan. Bake 30-40 minutes, until tender, but not mushy. Remove from the oven and baste the apples several times with the pan juices.


Well thats all I can think of off the top of my head. Think of your favorite foods and modify them to fit the diet Good luck :)
